Job summary

Avondale Elementary School District in Arizona seeks a Certified Teacher for Special Education - Specialized Program at Wildflower Accelerated Academy for the 26/27 school year. The position offers a $10,000 stipend (pending Governing Board approval) and a $750 prorated sign-on compensation. 1.0 FTE, full-time schedule.

You will instruct per Arizona standards, collaborate with master and mentor teachers, and participate in TAP-based growth and lesson planning to support diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Valid Arizona teaching certificate.
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Must pass background check and hold IVP fingerprint clearance.
• Endorsement in ESL or SEI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction aligned to Arizona standards and policy.
• Collaborate with mentor teachers to improve practice.
• Participate in TAP teacher accountability program and clusters.
• Develop and maintain an Individual Growth Plan (IGP).
• Plan, assess, and monitor student progress toward goals.
• Communicate with staff and maintain records on schedule.
• Ensure a safe, organized classroom and responsible behavior management.
