Job summary

Torrington Public Schools seeks a Special Education Resource Paraeducator to support students with disabilities at Torrington Middle School (grades 7-8).

You will work under a certified teacher, reinforce instruction in small groups or one-on-one, and help maintain materials, equipment, and records in alignment with each child's IEP; 10-month schedule, 184 days, 35 hours weekly, wage $19.15 per hour with benefits and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 60 college credits or Para-Pro Exam passed.
• Experience in a school setting preferred.
• Warm, supportive personality able to relate to children with diverse needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with disabilities in small groups or individually as directed by the teacher.
• Maintain materials, equipment, and records for students per IEP requirements.
