Qualifications

• Georgia certification requirements in appropriate field of education Required
• Bachelor's degree in education Required
• Previous teaching experience Preferred

Responsibilities

• Plan learning experiences based on the district's AKS curriculum.
• Provide direct instruction and/or specially designed instruction to students in special programs per IEP.
• Collaborate with teachers and administrators to develop academic and behavioral plans.
• Develop long- and short-term instructional objectives tied to AKS.
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Prepare lesson plans to support AKS objectives for all students.
• Administer assessments and interpret results for parents and teachers.
• Maintain an orderly classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Coordinate IDEIA/due process related activities as required.
