Qualifications

• Knowledge of Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) AKS curriculum and content in field of certification.
• Ability to integrate curriculum with GCPS policies and effective instructional practices.
• Understanding of the teaching/learning process and use of technology in instruction.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and specially designed instruction aligned to the AKS and IEPs.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and administrators to develop academic and behavioral plans.
• Participate as a regular faculty member and support IDEIA requirements and due process.
• Develop and prioritize instructional objectives based on the AKS curriculum and student needs.
• Assess student work and adjust instruction based on formative and summative data.
• Maintain evidence of planning, instruction, and assessment to support student progress.
