Responsibilities

• Plan and provide learning experiences based on the district's AKS curriculum.
• Provide direct and/or specially designed instruction aligned to IEPs.
• Consult with teachers and administrators to develop academic and behavioral programs.
• Participate as an active faculty member and conduct in-service training on special education topics.
• Communicate and collaborate with regular educators to support students with disabilities.
• Develop and prioritize instructional objectives and assess student learning.
• Evaluate resources to match AKS and learner needs.
• Oversee assessment activities and communicate results to parents and staff.
