Job summary

Collegiate Charter School of Lowell (CCSL) is seeking a Special Education Team Chairperson to lead instructional and compliance efforts for the district's special education program. The role coordinates evaluations, chairs IEP meetings, ensures compliance with IDEA and state regulations, and supports staff in delivering high-quality services to students with disabilities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Special Education, Educational Leadership, or related field.
• Valid state licensure in Special Education.
• Minimum of three years of successful experience in special education.
• Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and applicable state special education regulations.
• Experience facilitating IEP Team meetings and managing special education processes.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and chair eligibility, annual review, reevaluation, manifestation determination, and other special education meetings.
• Develop, implement, and review IEPs in collaboration with staff.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and charter school regulations for special education.
• Monitor timelines for evaluations, reevaluations, annual reviews, progress reports, and other requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide inclusive services and support.

Education

Master's degree in Special Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field
