Job summary

West Philadelphia Achievement Charter Elementary School in Philadelphia is seeking a dedicated Special Education Coordinator to lead compliance and program coordination for students with disabilities. The role requires strong knowledge of IEP processes and IDEA regulations, plus collaboration with teachers and families.

You will manage service delivery, ensure timely documentation, and oversee related services and audits, including ESY, 504, ER and RR meetings.

Qualifications

• Experience writing and monitoring IEPs.
• Familiar with IDEA regulations and compliance.
• Strong scheduling and coordination abilities.

Responsibilities

• Meet with the Special Education Department at least twice per month and maintain meeting records.
• Ensure timely submission of financial documents and reports for SPED.
• Log data across Penn Data, SIS, Powerschool, and IEP Writer.
• Oversee Homebound, Psychology, Speech, OT/PT, and ELL services.
• Coordinate IEP, ER, RR, and 504 meetings with families and staff.
• Monitor service hours to align with IEP goals and compliance.
• Collaborate with Academy Leaders for audits and PDE requirements.
• Assist with ESY planning and placement processes.
