Job summary

Community Day Charter Public School in Lawrence, MA, seeks a Special Education Evaluation Coordinator to coordinate high-quality academic evaluations and support students’ needs. You will report to the Assistant Director of Special Education and work with IEP/Section 504 teams to develop goals and services informed by evaluation data.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred), a valid Massachusetts Moderate Disabilities license for PreK-8, and strong communication,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred.
• Hold a valid Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Moderate Disabilities Teaching License in PreK-8 is required.
• Previous experience working with school-aged children is strongly preferred.
• Ability to adhere to strict testing protocols and standardized administration procedures ensuring the validity and reliability of assessment results.
• Ability to demonstrate skills in collaborative planning and problem-solving.
• Ability to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to demonstrate flexibility, patience, and a sense of humor.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate high-quality academic evaluations and support students' academic and special education needs.
• Administer academic assessments following standardized procedures to ensure valid and reliable results.
• Prepare clear evaluation reports communicating strengths, needs, and implications.
• Collaborate with IEP and Section 504 teams to develop educational plans and services.
• Support eligibility and IEP processes and related documentation.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on evaluation interpretation and instruction.
