Job summary

Washoe County School District in Reno, NV seeks a capable Principal to serve as instructional leader and chief administrative officer for a school. You will guide curriculum, assessment, and school operations to meet district goals.

You will engage staff, parents, students, and the community in setting high expectations, lead MTSS/PBIS initiatives, and ensure compliance with laws and district policies while maintaining a safe, productive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in School Administration or related field.
• Two years of leadership at the school site as principal or assistant principal.
• Five years of certified teaching experience.
• Satisfactory summative evaluations in the last five years.

Responsibilities

• Exemplary leadership engaging staff, parents, students and the community to achieve the school's mission.
• Analyze information, delegate, and support staff; coordinate resources to meet school goals.
• Lead budget, operations and compliance with district, state and federal requirements.
• Foster MTSS/PBIS implementation and ongoing professional development.

Education

Master's Degree in School Administration or related field

Two years of school-site leadership (principal/assistant principal)

Five years of certified teaching experience

Satisfactory summative evaluations in last five years
