Job summary

LEAD Public Schools is seeking an Exceptional Education Assistant (Paraprofessional) to support students with disabilities under the supervision of a licensed teacher. You will assist with instruction, prepare materials, implement accommodations, and communicate with families as needed.

Responsibilities include classroom support, managing behavior per IEP, assisting with personal care if needed, and participating in trainings. A strong commitment to student growth and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Hold an associate's degree or higher; OR 48 college hours; OR pass ETS ParaPro Assessment.
• Preferred: job-related experience in education or support roles.
• Ability to build trust with staff, students, and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist in instruction of students with disabilities under supervision of a certified teacher.
• Prepare instructional materials and implement accommodations per IEP.
• Support with health care needs and personal care as trained.
• Communicate with staff, students, and parents; attend IEP meetings as needed.
• Enforce classroom behavior and support behavior intervention plans.
• Participate in training and professional development sessions.
