Qualifications

• Must meet at least one of: associate degree or 48 credits; or ParaPro Assessment.
• Preferred: job-related experience.
• Ability to build trust and relationships with staff and students.
• Adaptable and self-starter, able to handle multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist instruction for students with disabilities under direct supervision.
• Prepare materials for different levels across content with the teacher.
• Implement accommodations per IEP.
• Assist with follow-up activities to instructional content.
• Communicate with staff, students, and parents/guardians; participate in IEP meetings.
• Maintain rapport with students, teachers, coordinators, and families.
• Support participation and modifications to ensure student success.
• Attend meetings and professional development for job functions.
• With proper training, assist with personal care needs.
