New Story Schools is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to support students ages 5–21 with autism and behavioral needs. You’ll partner with teachers to implement academic, behavioral, and daily living goals with patience and encouragement.

Responsibilities include assisting with IEPs, data collection, transitions, personal care as needed, and maintaining a safe, structured learning environment. Strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to stay calm in challenging situations are

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stay calm and consistent during challenging situations.
• Experience supporting individuals with learning or behavioral disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support students with academic, behavioral, and self-care goals.
• Assist with implementing IEPs and Positive Behavior Support Plans.
• Help with transitions, activities, and personal care as needed.
• Collect and record behavioral and progress data.
• Maintain a safe, structured learning environment.
