Job summary

Wayzata Public Schools is seeking an Administrative Professional/Paraprofessional to assist Special Education staff in supporting students with academic adaptations, self-care, and behavioral needs across classrooms or community settings. The role requires flexibility to work with diverse students and staff, with a starting rate of $24.83/hour at 6.75 hours per day.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, preferred two years of post-secondary training, and the ability to lift up to 50

Qualifications

• High School diploma required. Highly Qualified Status Required. Preference for 2 year post-secondary training.
• Must be flexible and willing to work in a variety of settings with a variety of students and staff.
• May need to lift, pull and move a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Must be willing to assist in the eating and toileting needs of students.
• Must maintain data privacy and confidentiality for all students.
• Computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Special Education Licensed Staff with academic adaptations, self-care and social/behavioural needs for students in special education. This support may be provided in the general education classroom, special education classroom or community
