Job summary

Wayzata Public Schools is seeking an Early Childhood Special Education Paraprofessional to support students with academic, self-care, and social/behavioral needs in various settings.

The position offers a 3-hour daily schedule (9 hours per week) on Monday/Wednesday/Friday, with a starting rate of $24.83 per hour. This role does not include health or dental benefits and may involve lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; Highly Qualified Status preferred.
• Able to work in multiple settings with staff and students.
• May lift up to 50 pounds and assist with eating/toileting needs.
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality of students; computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed staff with academic adaptations, self-care and social/behavioral needs for students in special education.
• Support may occur in general education, special education or community settings.
