Job summary

Hamilton County Department of Education is seeking a dedicated paraprofessional to support students with disabilities under the supervision of a licensed special education teacher. You will help implement IEPs, modify instructional materials, and assist with data collection to monitor progress across communication, social/emotional, and academic goals.

You will also support classroom activities, manage materials, and assist with technology and classroom routines to create a positive learning

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; basic technology skills required; general office/clerical experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
Has knowledge and skills to support the PreK-12 general curriculum.
One year of experience working with students with disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide teaching support and services under the direction of a licensed special education teacher.
Assist with development and implementation of Individual Education Programs (IEPs).
Assist with data collection and progress monitoring of student development in multiple domains.
Assist with preparing, modifying, and utilizing instructional materials to meet individual student needs.
Oversee and supervise students in various settings including classrooms and during field trips.
