Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide teaching support under the licensed special education teacher's direction.
• Assist in developing and implementing IEPs and monitor progress.
• Attend to safety: crisis prevention techniques and de-escalation.
• Provide physical assistance and support as defined in IEPs.
• Assist with instructional materials and assistive technology; data collection.
• Chaperone field trips and supervise classes during teacher absence.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethics and district policies.
• Communicate with supervisors, teachers, students, and families as needed.
