Job summary

Poudre School District in Fort Collins is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to support students with mild to moderate needs. You will assist in classroom and with individual plans, monitor progress, and help implement IEPs and behavioral strategies under supervision.

The role involves supervising students, mobility and personal care support, and collaboration with teachers, caseworkers, and health staff. Hours are 7 per day, with a pay range of $19.65–$22.01/hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least one year of related experience working with students with disabilities is preferred.
• CPI training must be completed within 3 months of hire.
• Participation in Special Education Paraprofessional Academy classes (5 in first 2 years) is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist general classroom or special education teachers with instruction and accommodations.
• Independently support students in classroom tasks, assessments, and projects.
• Implement behavior intervention strategies to address social, emotional, and academic needs.
• Supervise students in classrooms and common areas, ensuring safety and order.
• Assist with IEP goals, progress tracking, attendance, and data collection.
• Support students with mobility, personal care, and health-related needs as required.
