Job summary

Poudre School District in Fort Collins seeks a Special Education/Integrated Services paraprofessional to support students with mild to moderate disabilities within the general and special education settings. You will assist with instructional tasks, personal care, mobility, and behavior support under teacher supervision, ensuring access to the general curriculum.

Responsibilities include implementing IEP accommodations, monitoring progress, data collection, and safety supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year related experience preferred.
• Criminal background check required for hire.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training within 3 months of hire.
• Special Education Paraprofessional Academy classes (5 in first 2 years of hire).

Responsibilities

• Assist general classroom or special education teachers with instructional, physical and behavioral support.
• Monitor student progress and tailor assignments to individual needs and behaviors.
• Provide supervision in classrooms, hallways, and during transitions with line of sight supervision.
• Assist with IEP implementation and collaboration with staff.
• Support students with mobility, personal care and health-related needs.
