Job summary

Brown County School Corp is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to assist certified staff in supporting students with diverse needs. The role involves guiding reading, math, and language arts, supervising students, and helping with classroom activities and field trips.

You will work under supervision to reinforce instruction, support IEP goals, and maintain student records while fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required or expected.
• Experience with students with special needs desirable.
• Ability to follow directions from certified staff and support instructional activities.
• Willingness to supervise non-instructional areas and assist with field trips as needed.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Assist certified staff in meeting instructional goals and objectives.
• Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Assist in administration and correction of classroom exercises and assessments.
• Prepare instructional materials and reinforce skills per student needs.
• Maintain records of student learning and performance.
• Support behavioral management to maintain a safe classroom.
