Job summary

New Story Schools in the United States is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to work alongside teachers, supporting students with academic, behavioral, and daily living goals. You will contribute to a structured, caring learning environment and help students grow toward meaningful goals.

You will implement IEPs and Positive Behavior Support Plans under guidance, assist with transitions and self-care tasks, and collect progress data.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three months of experience supporting individuals with learning or behavioral disabilities.
• Knowledge of behavior management and classroom support strategies.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stay calm and consistent during challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Support students with academic, behavioral, and self-care goals.
• Implement IEPs and Positive Behavior Support Plans under teacher guidance.
• Assist students with transitions, activities, and personal care as needed.
• Collect and record behavioral and progress data.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
