Job summary

New Story Schools (PA) is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to support students with academic, behavioral, and self-care goals. You will work under teachers to implement IEPs and Positive Behavior Support Plans, assist with transitions, and help maintain a safe learning environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and at least three months of related experience, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three months of experience supporting individuals with learning or behavioral disabilities.
• Knowledge of behavior management and classroom support strategies.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stay calm and consistent during challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Support students with academic, behavioral, and self-care goals.
• Implement IEPs and Positive Behavior Support Plans under teacher guidance.
• Assist students with transitions, activities, and personal care as needed.
