Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or 60 credits post-secondary, or paraprofessional test; two years experience with students with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and preparing instructional materials and lessons.
• Support student learning and reinforce instruction provided by certified teachers.
• Work with health specialists and therapists to administer lessons and activities.
• Monitor and record student behavior and progress; assist with IEP meetings translations as needed.
• Escort students to classes and assist with mobility and routines.
• Assist with classroom hygiene, cleaning, and organization after lessons.
• Support substitute teachers to ensure continuity of learning.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
