Santa Cruz Valley Unified School District seeks a Paraprofessional-Special Education to provide instructional support to students with disabilities. The role collaborates with teachers, health specialists, and therapists to implement lessons and therapy activities.

The candidate will monitor student progress, assist in IEP-related communications, and help with classroom routines and safety. A high school diploma and relevant experience are required.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or 60 credits post-secondary, or paraprofessional test; two years experience with students with disabilities.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in planning and preparing instructional materials and lessons.
• Support student learning and reinforce instruction provided by certified teachers.
• Work with health specialists and therapists to administer lessons and activities.
• Monitor and record student behavior and progress; assist with IEP meetings translations as needed.
• Escort students to classes and assist with mobility and routines.
• Assist with classroom hygiene, cleaning, and organization after lessons.
• Support substitute teachers to ensure continuity of learning.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
