New Story Schools in Pennsylvania is hiring a Special Education Paraprofessional to support students aged 5–21 with autism and behavioral and developmental challenges. You will assist in academics, behavior goals, and daily living tasks under teacher guidance to help each student succeed.

Requirements include a high school diploma, must be at least 21, three months of relevant experience, knowledge of behavior management and classroom support strategies, and strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• At least three months of experience supporting individuals with learning or behavioral disabilities.
• Knowledge of behavior management and classroom support strategies.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stay calm and consistent during challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Support students with academic, behavioral, and self-care goals.
• Implement IEPs and Positive Behavior Support Plans under teacher guidance.
• Assist students with transitions, activities, and personal care as needed.
• Collect and record behavioral and progress data.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
