Job summary

New Story Schools in Pennsylvania is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to support students aged 5–21 with autism and developmental challenges. You will assist teachers with academic, behavioral, and daily living goals, providing direct support, patience, and encouragement to help each student succeed.

You'll implement IEPs and Positive Behavior Support Plans under teacher guidance, help with transitions and personal care, and collect progress data while maintaining a safe, structured

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• At least three months of experience supporting individuals with learning or behavioral disabilities.
• Knowledge of behavior management and classroom support strategies.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stay calm and consistent during challenging situations.

Responsibilities
