Job summary

Evergreen Public Schools seeks a Special Education Paraeducator to assist in supervision and instruction for students with IEPs at Sifton Elementary School. You will work under the Special Education Instructor and Building Principal to support individualized education plans.

The role includes one-to-one and small group instruction, data collection, and collaboration with staff to implement behavioral and instructional strategies.

Qualifications

• Must meet Paraeducator Employment Requirements: 18+, HS diploma, and one of the listed qualifications.
• External applicants must include official transcripts or ETS ParaPro results with application.
• New paraeducators will complete state-required training through Evergreen School District.

Responsibilities

• Provide special education services and supports under teacher/IEP manager guidance.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff and parents.
• Provide one-to-one and small group instruction as directed by the teacher.
• Assist in establishing a conducive learning environment and curriculum objectives.
• Assess student progress and collect performance data toward IEP goals.
• Maintain accurate data on student progress and assist in testing and scoring.
• Implement behavioral management strategies as outlined by the teacher.
• Organize and prepare instructional materials; assist with classroom routines.
• Attend training to stay current on student needs and district requirements.
