Job summary

Seven Oaks Elementary invites applications for a Paraeducator - Resource position for the 2026-27 school year. This role supports students with special needs under supervision of licensed staff, provides instructional and non-instructional assistance, and helps maintain a safe and engaging learning environment.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, be able to work with diverse student populations, and demonstrate reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s Degree or 72 quarter credits or ParaPro; First aid/CPR training may be required; Instructional methodologies training may be required; Experience with culturally diverse communities; Able to manage interruptions; Strong communication in English.
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions; maintain confidentiality; collaborate with staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in assessment, curriculum implementation, and student interactions.
• Provide supervision and support in 1:1 or small group settings.
• Help with daily tasks and health-related supports as directed by school nurse or staff.
• Support development of independent living skills and social skills.
• Assist in implementing behavior plans and ensuring safety.
• Supervise recess, bus duty, and hallway activities; intervene when needed.
• Document student progress and maintain records.
• Perform limited clerical duties and supply management.
