Job summary

Moon Area School District is seeking a Learning Support Assistant, Class I at Brooks Elementary School for 4 hours (8:45 am – 12:45 pm). The role supports Special Education students and classroom staff, coordinating with teachers to implement IEP goals.

Qualifications include an associate degree or higher (or two years of postsecondary study), plus proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic assistive technology. Strong classroom collaboration and adaptability are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group assistance to maintain task focus.
• Support students with disabilities as directed by teachers and administrators.
• Assist with self-help skills and use of assistive technology per IEP.
• Monitor students across classrooms, lunch, field trips, and routines.
• Document progress and support data collection for ACCESS/IEP reporting.
• Support with clerical tasks and classroom organization as needed.
• Participate in training such as ABA and Safety Care.
