Job summary

FCUSD is seeking a paraeducator to support students with severe disabilities under supervision. You will assist with instructional activities, life skills, and data collection, while supporting the teacher and maintaining safety.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred 48 units beyond HS or an AA degree. Prior experience with special education is desirable; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; AA degree or 48 units beyond HS desirable.
• Experience: care of children with learning disabilities; crisis intervention training desirable.
• Willingness to complete required training after employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with severe disabilities to meet physical and emotional needs during the instructional day.
• Assist the teacher with record keeping and develop life skills or physical care activities.
