Job summary

Folsom Cordova Unified School District is seeking a Paraeducator for Moderate/Severe needs. Under supervision of an administrator and classroom teacher, you will assist students with severe disabilities, support instructional activities, and help with record keeping throughout the day.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in psychology or behavior modification is desirable.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; 48 units beyond high school or district proficiency test.
• Experience: Prefer experience with children with learning disabilities; crisis intervention training desirable.
• Willingness to complete required training upon employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with severe disabilities to meet physical and emotional needs throughout the instructional day; support life skills and/or physical care activities.
• Assist the teacher with record keeping and instructional tasks; supervision and instruction responsibilities may be shared.
