Job summary

Monterey County Office Of Education is seeking a Paraeducator (Del Rey) to support teachers and students in special education and general education settings. Under the principal's guidance, you will assist with instructional activities for students in moderate/severe programs and in mainstream classrooms.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of higher education or an associate degree, with additional certifications and driving eligibility.

Qualifications

• Education as required by the Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015, including high school diploma or equivalent and postsecondary study (48 semester units) OR an Associate’s or higher degree.
• Experience with school-age children or individuals with disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in instructional activities for students in special education or mainstream classrooms.
• Support students with disabilities to implement behavioral plans and accommodations.
• Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment and support classroom management.
