Job summary

The Dysart Unified School District is seeking a paraeducator to assist the Special Education Teacher with IEP implementation and support students with disabilities in the general education curriculum.

You will follow lesson plans, support specialized programs, maintain confidentiality, and participate in district professional development. This is a 0.875 FTE, non-exempt, on-site position in Arizona.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• AA degree or 60 college credit hours or approved Dysart exam.
• Follows district policies and confidentiality (FERPA).
• Ability to assist with IEP implementation and daily living activities for students.

Responsibilities

• Participates in planning activities for specialized programs and individual students.
• Assists in carrying out activities for students in specialized programs or preschool.
• Implements district program with fidelity for specialized programs.
• Implements IEP services for individual students as directed.
• Maintains records and prepares instructional materials.
• Attends professional development classes and supports Medicaid reimbursement activities.
