Job summary

Evergreen Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Paraeducator at Legacy High School in Vancouver, WA. The role supports students with IEPs under the supervision of the Special Education teacher and building Principal. Work hours are 8:45 a.m.–3:15 p.m. (6 hours) with a 30-minute lunch, 190 days per year.

Starting date is immediate. Qualifications include HS diploma or equivalent and one of several credential paths; additional state-required training will be provided after hire.

Qualifications

• Must meet Paraeducator Employment Requirements as listed (age 18+, HS diploma or equivalent).
• Options: ETS ParaPro score 455+, Associate degree or higher, 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits, or Paraeducator Apprenticeship program.
• Includes mandatory state training after hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervision of instructional activities for students with IEPs.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group instruction as directed by the teacher.
• Maintain data on student progress and assist with assessments and materials.
