International Leadership of Texas is seeking a dedicated Student Support Aide to assist in implementing IEPs and providing classroom accommodations in both general and special education settings. You will support teachers with instructional materials, behavior plans, and data collection while ensuring access to grade-level content for diverse learners.

The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers, adherence to FERPA, and assisting with daily living skills and student safety.

Qualificações

• Knowledge of IEP implementation and accommodations/modifications in general education
• Assist in implementing IEPs to ensure access to curriculum
• Follow verbal and written instructions with fidelity

Responsabilidades

• Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom supports aligned to IEPs
• Support implementation of accommodations/modifications to ensure access to grade-level TEKS
• Reinforce learning concepts and provide guided practice
• Assist with classroom organization and learning environment
• Support data collection on IEP goals and progress
• Assist with administrative tasks including documentation for compliance
• Provide direct support to students in general and special education settings
• Implement accommodations as outlined in the IEP
• Support students in accessing instruction with peers
• Assist with student organization and task completion
• Collaborate with teachers to ensure consistent supports
• Assist in implementing BIPs and de-escalation strategies
• Watch for student medical/physical/emotional needs and respond appropriately
• Provide support with self-help and daily living skills as needed
• Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, and transportation
• Ensure student safety and follow district protocols
• Assist with lifting, positioning, and mobility as needed
• Maintain communication with teachers about progress and concerns
• Support substitute teachers with routines
• Maintain professional relationships with staff and families
• Maintain FERPA compliance and confidentiality
• Participate in professional development and trainings
• Demonstrate flexibility to support campus/district initiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned
