Job summary

International Leadership of Texas is seeking an instructional aide to support students with disabilities under teacher supervision. You will help with instructional materials, classroom organization, and daily activities inside and outside the classroom.

The role includes assisting with student mobility and safety, supervising during meals and transitions, and communicating student needs to staff. Prior experience with children is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work with children with disabilities.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong communication skills with students, families, and staff.
• Two years of experience working with children.

Responsibilities

• Help teacher prepare instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom.
• Assist with inventory, care and maintenance of equipment.
• Maintain administrative records and assist with required reports.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
• Assist with transferring students to and from wheelchairs and support personal care needs.
• Support behavior management and safety during the school day.
• Supervise students during lunch, bus, and recess.
• Monitor and communicate any special needs to the teacher.
