Job summary

Manhattan Charter School seeks a SPED Coordinator to support high-quality special education services at the school level. You will coordinate IEP meetings, service schedules, student data, and provide coaching to teachers while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

You will collaborate with general and special educators to align instructional support, monitor service delivery, and communicate effectively with families and central teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred) in Education, Special Education, or related field.
• NYS Certification in Students with Disabilities preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in a special education setting.
• Strong organization, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with SESIS, RTI frameworks, and instructional supports for diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate IEP and Section 504 meetings in collaboration with CSE.
• Ensure timely development, implementation, and progress reporting of IEP goals.
• Monitor SETSS, ICT, and related service schedules and communicate changes to providers and teachers.
• Collaborate with general and special educators to ensure instructional alignment and scaffolding.
• Support teachers with creating progress reports, data collection tools, and accommodations.
