Qualifications

• Valid Professional Educators License (PEL) with an Early Childhood Special Education (ECSC) endorsement or equivalent ECT.
• Competence with curriculum, diagnostic instruments, and research-based/evidence based interventions.
• Must be able to lift, move, or push items of 50 pounds such as assisting children.
• Positive attitude, excellent work ethic and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify student needs, make appropriate referrals, and develop IEPs that meet State and Federal Guidelines.
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials for individualized, whole group, or small group instruction.
• Implement and support students' IEP, including long-range goals and short-term objectives.
• Confer with parents/guardians, teachers, staff, and administrators to resolve student issues.
