HeartShare Education Center in New York, NY is seeking an IEP Coordinator to lead IEP tracking, compliance, and educational program support. You will coordinate with teachers, families, districts, and service providers to ensure high-quality individualized education and timely annual reviews.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the Principal/Director of Education, monitoring educational quality, and supporting continuous improvement across the school.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education is required.
• New York State Special Education Teacher Certification is required.
• Experience working with children in a special education setting is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate IEP tracking and annual reviews, reevaluations, amendments, and timelines.
• Monitor IEP implementation and ensure access to current IEP information for staff.
• Collaborate with CSEs, school districts, families, teachers, and related service providers on IEPs and student programming.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and assist in developing and updating student plans.
• Review IEP-related documentation for accuracy and compliance and address concerns with leadership.
• Support development and alignment of curriculum with IEP goals and student needs.
• Coordinate with families, districts, and partners to ensure effective educational services.
• Monitor documentation for NYSED requirements and HeartShare standards.
• Plan and deliver professional development on curriculum, IEP implementation, and special education practices.
