Job summary

Dallas Independent School District seeks an Analyst (226 Days) to support Special Revenue Funds Management. You will assist with compliance oversight, budget development and training for central offices staff, administrators, and campus personnel for Special Education.

You will advise on IDEA-B grants, coordinate grant development and monitoring, and analyze data for compliance and expenditure reports to ensure alignment with IDEA and ESSA requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Business or a related field required.
• 3+ years of directly related experience is required.
• Knowledge regarding the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) federal legislation.
• Knowledge of business and management principles in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership, and coordination.
• Ability to interpret information and analyze policy and financial data.
• Excellent writing and oral language skills; able to work with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager of Special Revenue Funds Management with district-wide education initiatives.
• Support compliance oversight, budget development and training for central offices staff and campus personnel for Special Education.
• Advise district personnel on Special Education and IDEA-B grants management and compliance.
• Coordinate development, monitoring and maintenance of Special Education federal and state grants.
• Gather and analyze data for grant applications, compliance and expenditure reports.
• Report progress on program goals and expenditures per IDEA requirements.
• Monitor and adjust budgetary amounts and expenditures related to Special Education grants.
• Administer internal controls and procedures per federal, state, and district regulations.
• Monitor documentation, expenditures, line-item budgets and revenue for grants.
• Analyze data for non-compliance and assist with corrective action plans; collaborate on salary monitoring.
• Stay current on laws and accounting principles affecting district special education funding.
