INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL DISTRICT 917 is seeking an Education Support Professional for ECSE in the TEA program at Pine Bend Elementary, Inver Grove Heights, MN. Qualifications

• Willingness to work with students in high-level special education services.
• Must have either 60 credits, an Associate's degree or higher, or a passing ParaPro score.
• Experience with children or individuals with special needs is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a team with staff, parents, and community.
• Willingness to complete Professional Crisis Management training and apply restrictive procedures.
• Ability to obtain PCA certification from DHS.
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication.
• Willingness to work with assistive technology.
• Basic computer and email skills; proficient in core educational subjects.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in delivering instruction and managing educational programming.
• Adapt materials or strategies for differentiated instruction under supervision.
• Collect data and monitor student progress using charting and paperwork.
• Support classroom management and behavioral interventions.
• Use proactive behavior management and de-escalation techniques; may involve restraints.
• Escort students to classes/therapy and supervise in common areas.
• Lead activities with individuals or small groups as directed by staff.
• Support students in developing social skills and appropriate behaviors.
• Help maintain student safety and a positive school environment.
