Job summary

Lewiston Public Schools seeks a Special Education Self Contained BHP Ed Tech II/III at Connors Elementary School to support students with IEP and PBSP goals within RISE/Day Treatment programs.

This role involves 1:1/1:2 and small group instruction, data collection, and collaboration with teachers to deliver individualized supports. The Ed Tech must assist with materials, de-escalation strategies, and progress monitoring while adhering to district policies.

Qualifications

• Requires postsecondary coursework or credits (90+), plus Maine DOE Ed Tech III certification.
• Certification as School Based Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) is required.
• Ability to implement IEPs and PBSPs, with skills in de-escalation and data collection.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate 1:1, 1:2 and small group instruction within RISE/DT and related settings.
• Implement and monitor IEP and PBSP recommendations.
• Assist with classroom setup, materials prep and data collection.
• Maintain data entry and records for student progress.
• Follow PBSP and district policies, while ensuring a safe, supportive environment.
