Second Mile in Charlotte, NC is seeking an EC Teacher to coach, motivate and instruct high school students with IEPs and IGPs within our educational model; for‑credit courses align to state standards, and are delivered to engage learning while accelerating credits.

The EC teacher collaborates with classroom teachers and support staff to ensure the instructional and socio-emotional needs of students are met, in compliance with RtI, state, district, and company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from an accredited college or university is required.
• Appropriate Teacher’s certification is required.
• Knowledge of the principles of secondary education.

Responsabilités

• Provide a learning environment that is team-oriented and aligned with IEP objectives.
• Monitor and document student progress and data.
• Ensure compliance with RtI, IEP, and reporting requirements.
