Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of state, federal and local regulations for exceptional children.

• Experience with classroom management and differentiation techniques.
• Understanding of IEP processes, strategies and learning assessments.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all laws, policies, and procedures.
• Assist students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Supervise students in classrooms and common areas.
• Coordinate with the classroom teacher on instructional efforts.
• Provide physical assistance and support as needed to students and therapists.
• Prepare classroom materials and organize learning spaces.
• Participate in professional development and meetings.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
