Job summary

Qualifications

• At least 48 college hours required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience working with children with cognitive and/or pervasive developmental disabilities strongly preferred.
• Willingness to pursue Special Education teaching certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in educational and social development under guidance of teachers.
• Implement IEPs and monitor student progress.
• Support individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable participation.
• Collaborate with speech therapists, social workers, and therapists.
• Maintain student records with classroom teachers.
• Support students with emotional or behavior concerns and social skills.
