Job summary

Harmony Public Schools is seeking a dedicated instructional aide to assist teachers in achieving student academic goals and managing classroom activities. The role includes supporting ARD/IEP paperwork and providing specialized assistance to students with special needs.

Willingness to work with diverse learners, participate in CPI if required, and adapt to varying duties throughout the school day are essential.

Qualifications

Minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required.
At least 48 college hours is preferred.
Experience with children in an educational setting is preferred.
Certification as a Texas Educational Aide or ability to obtain it is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist teacher(s) with student academic goals by working with small groups.
Assist with enforcing classroom management and behavioral plans to create a learning-friendly environment.
Supervise students during meals, breaks, and events; support during ARD/IEP documentation.
Assist with planning and implementing differentiated instruction for individual students and groups.
Provide specialized instructional support in Life Skills, Behavior, and In-Class Support as needed.
May be required to obtain CPI certification or equivalent for de-escalation and safety procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
