Job summary

Harmony Science Academy - Georgetown is seeking a dedicated paraeducator to assist teachers in PK-7 classrooms, support student learning, and help implement educational programs under supervision.

Responsibilities include small-group instruction, behavior support, supervision during meals and transitions, and assisting with ARD/IEP paperwork; effective communication with staff and families is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 48 college hours preferred.
• Experience with children in educational settings preferred.
• Texas Educational Aide Certification preferred or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with student academic goals in small groups or individually.
• Assist in enforcing classroom management and behavioral plans to create a learning environment.
• Supervise students during breakfast, recess, lunch, dismissal, and events.
• Assist with ARD/IEP paperwork and data entry for special education reports.
• Assist with planning, preparation and implementation of differentiated instruction for individuals and groups.
• Assignment may include Life Skills, Behavior, Resource or In-Class Support settings.
