Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have strong knowledge and experience with children who have severe disabilities.
• Experience in a special education classroom setting.
• Ability to provide a safe, motivating classroom environment supporting academic, social, and daily living skills.

Responsibilities

• Data collection and maintaining classroom data systems.
• Implement de-escalation, behavior management and restraint programs as directed.
• Assist with daily classroom duties and activities of daily living.
• Lifting, transfers and positioning of students as needed.
• Support lunch, transportation and recess duties as assigned.
• Facilitate inclusive activities and collaborate with the teacher.
• Support implementation of IEPs and ABA programs per student plan.
