Job summary

TrulyHired seeks a registered Behavior Technician (RBT) paraprofessional to support students with disabilities under the direction of a BCBA/BCaBA in a Ohio school setting. The role requires patience, cheerfulness, and strong data-tracking and clerical abilities to implement behavior plans and monitor progress outlined in IEPs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Educational Aide Permit through Ohio Department of Education with ESSA endorsement when applicable.
• Complete mandated RBT training (40 hours blended) with competency assessment by a BCBA or BCaBA.
• Work with the behavior specialist and classroom teacher in support of implementing behavior plans and supporting behavior needs.
• Track data and report to the behavior specialist and classroom teacher.
• Maintain the minimum supervision requirements (2 meetings/month).
• Able to use a computer.
• Good organization skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively with other personnel.
• Ability to perform clerical skills including filing, copying, and record keeping.
• Working knowledge of devices and equipment in public schools.
• Ability to complete CPR/First Aid/CPI training.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to operate wheelchairs and related devices or learn.
• Other criteria by Board of Education/superintendent.

Responsibilities

• Work with administration, classroom teachers, behavior specialist, and parents to support students with disabilities during the school day.
• Provide individualized attention to students with disabilities to improve performance per IEP goals.
• Assist in delivering behavior analysis services under supervision of a BCBA/BCaBA.
