Job summary

Chesterfield County Public Schools seeks an experienced Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support students in a public separate special education program from PreK-12. The role involves implementing BIPs, collecting data, and providing direct ABA-based behavioral interventions.

You will work under a BCBA, assist with personal care and mobility needs, and collaborate with teachers and families to promote social, communication, and academic skills in the least restrictive environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
• Certification in a restraint intervention program (preferably MANDT) or obtain within 90 days.
• Background in special education settings and ABA-based interventions is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements BIPs designed by a BCBA using principles of ABA.
• Provides one-on-one or small group support to students with developmental disabilities or behaviors.
• Assists with personal care tasks and mobility needs as required.
• Records and graphs behavioral data to monitor progress.
• Collaborates with BCBAs and supports teachers and families.
• Performs crisis intervention following established protocols.
