Job summary

Marblehead Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide direct support to students with autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, and behavior or communication needs. The RBT will work under BCBA supervision to implement individualized behavior plans, collect data, and support students across school environments.

Qualifications

• Current RBT certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days.
• Experience with children or individuals with disabilities.
• Ability to lift/move students and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group ABA-based instruction using evidence-based strategies (DTT, NET, prompting, reinforcement systems).
• Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) with fidelity under BCBA supervision.
• Collect accurate, ongoing behavioral and skill-acquisition data.
• Support students in general education and special education settings, including transitions, specials, lunch, and recess.
• Assist with crisis prevention and intervention following district-approved protocols (QBS).
• Collaborate with teachers, BCBAs, related service providers, and other support staff.
• Maintain a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment.
• Participate in required training, team meetings, and professional development.
