Job summary

SESI, a division of FullBloom, seeks an assistant teacher to support K-12 students requiring additional supports in in-district classrooms and standalone schools. You will work with a diverse group of learners, lead small groups, and collaborate with teachers to deliver individualized services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college experience or bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
• Experience working with students with special needs in an educational setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead small group instruction and implement SESI’s academic rotational model.
• Partner with the teacher to provide customized behavior and academic support.
• Conduct formal and informal assessments to monitor progress.
• Reinforce learning through tasks, data-informed material selection, and tutorials.
• Assist the teacher with large-group activities, grading, and accommodations.
• Utilize behavior support and intervention strategies; implement de-escalation as needed.
• Support daily plans and document student growth toward goals.
• Supervise students and coordinate with other staff to meet needs.
